Dark Fibre is suitable when youÌýprefer to have full control over your network design and transmission equipment choices, enabling private connections for large volumes of data.
91º£½ÇÂÒÂ× InfraCo wishes to create a good customer experience by initially focusing on a small subset of use cases andÌýroutes. This willÌýexpand as we learn and adapt. This launch we are focusing on Data Centre, nbn POI’s, Cable Landing Station sites (all in metro locations).
Dark Fibre is predominately sold in pairs of fibre strands, so we have focused our pricing on pairs. But we can offer a single strand (POA).
Not at this stage. This is on ourÌýproduct roadmap butÌýis not ready for launch at this stage.Ìý
Yes – routes that are less than 100km, and within the metro area. These requests will need to be talked through with yourÌýAccount Manager.Ìý
It depends whether the route is on-net or off-net for 91º£½ÇÂÒÂ× InfraCo.Ìý These requests will need to be qualified, through your Account Manager.
Typical commercial lease duration offered is 3, 5 or 10 years.Ìý
A pre-defined route can take minutes to quote, and order on MSH Tool.Ìý Delivery is targeted for 20Ìýbusiness days, subject to capacity and feasibility.
A route that is not on the pre-defined route list is likely to take up to 4-6 weeks to quote, dependingÌýon whether the route is on- net for 91º£½ÇÂÒÂ×'s fibre network, and minutes to order if you accept theÌýquote.ÌýÌýAgain, delivery will depend on whether the route is on or off-net 91º£½ÇÂÒÂ×'s fibre network and will be advised on a case by case basis.Ìý
Delivery for on-net services on pre-defined routes is targeted for 20 business days; For requests that need augmentation build, delivery timeline will be advised on case-by-case basis.
For pre-defined routes 91º£½ÇÂÒÂ× InfraCo will build additional fibre capacity if there is demand. For other routes 91º£½ÇÂÒÂ× InfraCo will consider building fibre if there is strong demand.
Faults are managed by the same teams in 91º£½ÇÂÒÂ× that manage Data product Faults.
Before incident escalation to 91º£½ÇÂÒÂ× InfraCo, please complete the key activities listed in our Fault Diagnosis checklist and provide relevant information in your issue ticket.Ìý We will respond within 60 minutes to inform you of progress with a target restoration time of 8 hours.
When your dark fibre is first handed over, the fibre performance will be provided in the handover document.
If there is a fault, the fibre will be restored to the product specifications. All other wideband fault reporting will be available on time to respond, time to restore, similar to Data 91º£½ÇÂÒÂ×, and will be discussed in your regular Sales and Service Management meetings.
Dark Fibre is different from Managed 91º£½ÇÂÒÂ× as 91º£½ÇÂÒÂ× InfraCo does not have electrical components on the service and therefore cannot monitor it.ÌýTherefore for a fibre cut or outage we need to treat this as a fault and supply a fault ticket.ÌýÌý
